We’re delighted to announce that all 19 schools and sixth form colleges in The Alpha Plus Group have joined SIMS Independent.
All 19 UK based schools and sixth form colleges will use our management information system (MIS) to help boost pupil attainment and streamline the management of an estimated £55 million in annual revenue from fees across the group.
David Elliott, Director of ICT at The Alpha Plus Group, said: “Our schools are focused on delivering a Gold Standard education and they need Gold Standard technology to support them.
“We wanted schools to have one system that would meet the unique needs of their heads, teachers and staff. As a growing education provider, we also need to improve efficiency and financial reporting across the business. With the flexibility SIMS Independent provides and its proven track record, it ticked the boxes for us.”
All schools within the group will move to SIMS Independent for recording information including pupils’ contact details and attendance, achievement and conduct data. This will make it easier to monitor progress and identify pupils who might benefit from additional support.
The SIMS system will also ensure greater consistency in the way school fees and budgets are managed, while delivering the flexibility the schools need to retain their identity.
Julie Booth, Head of Independent Schools at SIMS Independent, said: “We are over the moon that SIMS Independent has been chosen by The Alpha Plus Group. The tools that will now be available to heads, teachers and bursars will play an important role in ensuring their schools continue to provide children with the highest standards of teaching and learning in the months and years ahead.”
